God's House Tower Museum

I was invited by God’s House Tower Museum to write and host a series of workshops in their wonderful historic venue in Southampton. As the classes were to be held in October, I wrote a 4 lesson course in Autumnal Illustration covering: Autumnal Botanicals, Badgers, Foxes and Toadstools

Wellbeing Sessions

I’ve hosted online drawing classes for workplaces and wellbeing groups where I demonstrate an hour long tutorial where all you need to join in is a pen and paper. I teach these sessions in a beginner-friendly manner and accessible to those who may only have a biro on their desk.

I share my tips and tricks on how to sketch, as well as how to take up drawing as a regular hobby to enjoy when winding down after a busy day at work or university.

Clients have included:

  • Paris Smith Ltd

  • University of Portsmouth’s Wellbeing Cafe

  • NinetyOne

  • Barton Peveril College

Art Club!

Monday evenings are your new designated ‘me-time’ moments where you can switch off for an hour, learn something new and explore different themes each week! All you need is a Zoom account, paper and whatever art supplies you have - even a biro! I’ll demonstrate various techniques to tailor to your materials.

Art Club evolved over 2020 from a small series called Biro Botanicals (which was initially a placeholder offering while we were in lockdown!) to a regular Monday night online club! Each session is £5 and an easygoing session with a different theme each week.

Botanical Letters

Illustrate a letter of your choice with beautiful botanicals in this relaxing and beginner friendly workshop! With seasonal floral references to inspire you, you’ll sketch a letter of your choice and decorate it with layers of paint in your own style. As you follow my demonstration, you’ll experiment with watercolour and gouache paint and build confidence as you develop your art practise.

I’ve taught this class online and at:

  • The Sorting Office Studios, Eastleigh

  • The Lunch Lounge, Southampton

Pet Portraits

I absolutely love teaching this class! I’ve composed the Pet Portrait Masterclass to be a nice, long session where we explore how to use a lightbox to trace photographs, use watercolour paints to create textures and gouache paints to apply dainty details. I really enjoy getting to know the pets and helping attendees capture their likeness!

I have taught this class at the following venues:

  • The Sorting Office Studios, Eastleigh

  • The d.@rt Centre at Wildern School, Hedge End

  • The River Rat, Hamble
